This is a bolo tie/belt buckle depicting a bear in the blossoming bushes, fixed onto a wooden stand made of fumed oak.
The bolo tie is in a private collection, Alabama (the USA).
This composition in which separate sculptures of the animals (the whole or a part of the body) are used has the effect of space and movement. The boar and the dogs are carved of wood and are fixed onto the moose antler which is carved as a wood background.
The Three Howling Wolves....The center of this composition are three holwling wolves, 2 mature wolves and a cub, they are placed against the background of an evening moon lit sky and amid the bushes.
These animals never stop provoking my adoration and desire to get to know them closer and better.
I can't but remember and mention Never Cry Wolf, a book by Farley Mowat which is a real eye-opener on Wolves for us.
